PhD student positions, protein folding simulations
Several PhD student positions are available in the new ComputationalChemistry and Biophysics lab headed by Dr. Jana Khandogin in the Department
of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Oklahoma, USA.
Research projects include but are not limited to the development of
theoretical and computational methods for studying metal-assisted
protein folding; methods and algorithms for accelerated conformational
sampling; and applications of existing and new computational tools
to study folding and aggregation of proteins implicated in Alzheimer's
and Parkinson's diseases.
Required qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual holding a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry,
Physics or a related discipline
- Strong interest and attention to details
- Good oral and written English language skills
- Interest and skills in mathematics and computer programming preferred
We offer:

- Stipend through TA or RA at a level of about $25k/yr
