Levinson和D.E. Perry写的,John Wiley & Sons出版社出版的Guerrilla Marketing for Job Hunters。 http://ygourven2.free.fr/wordpress/files/guerrillamarketingjobhunters.pdf

Why You Need to Become a Guerrilla Job-Hunter: The New Global America介绍了美国人才市场的情况、人才市场演变的原因、找工作的人应该怎么做。 Personal branding is not about projecting a false image. It is about understanding what is unique about you--your accomplishments, experience, attitude--and using that to differentiate yourself from other job-hunters. Your band is your edge."

第二章Your Guerrilla Mind-Set: Head Games: Shape Up Your Attitude介绍了找工作应该具有的态度,要乐观,激发自己。

(1)Take charge of your job-hunt:"Don't let anyone else do your resume or your cover letter. You need to do it yourself. You can ask people to review it but it must come from you--even if you are receiving outplacement counseling. Come interview time, you need to mirror the person you have portrayed on paper or you will strike out. You can sell yourself better if you own every word on the page."

(2)Adopt a tough mind-set:"You do not need sympathy. You need support, and there is a huge difference. Supportive, helpful, optimistic family, friends, and reputable professionals remind you of your strengths and give you needed encouragement and feedback. Sympathizers zap your energy and self-esteem."

(3)Stay focused:"Like a good salesperson, you need to track and record your efforts. You must keep a record to show yourself that you are making progress. If you can visually see progress, you will have an extra incentive to keep at it."

(4)Think positive:"You must convince yourself, through your own self-talk, that you are successful. Write out positive affirmations about your jon-hunting skills such as 'I interview well.' You can be your own worst enemy or your biggest fan. Give yourself credit for what you've completed and don't beat yourself up over what you haven't yet accomplished. Avoid comparing yourself with others."

Your Guerrilla Job-Hunting Strategy: Think Like a General—Work Like a Sergeant介绍了找工作的策略,包括从哪里找到广告或者没有登广告的内部信息。
第四章Logistics—Building Your War Room: Set Yourself Up to Win介绍了在家里安装强大的设备,进行合理的时间安排来进行找工作。
第五章Your Research Plan: Research: The Guerrilla’s Competitive Edge介绍了怎么对潜在公司进行调研。
Twenty-First Century Digital Weapons: If You Build It, They Will Come for You . . .

Your Public Relations Strategy: PR Is Not Just for Products说到怎么在各项社会活动中抛头露面,增加自己的就业机会。

13 Creative Ways to Find a Job: Breakthrough Strategies介绍所谓找工作的最有创意的点子。

Accelerated Job Search for Veterans: An Insider's View介绍了对应找工作老手的策略。

Negotiating the Deal: How to Bargain with Confidence介绍了对方给你初步offer后的讨价还价。

A War Story
After being laid off from his last job, George Brown knew exactly which company he wanted to work for next, but every time he called, the Personnel Department told him the company wasn’t hiring. So George sprang into action, and another Guerrilla job-hunter was born.

George printed business cards that were round, slightly larger than normal, and very colorful.  On the front was a picture of a pizza with a circle-shaped message: “Win a Free Pizza”.  The flip side of the card gave his name, email address and telephone number along with the promise of a pizza for the first person to get him an interview with the company.

Dressed for an interview, George stationed himself at the entrance of the company and handed out cards to anyone who would take them.  He kept this up for a couple of days and became the topic of conversation at the company.  One manager figured that anyone who would go to so much effort deserved an interview. One extra large pizza later, George Guerrilla Marketed his way to the job of his dreams at very little expense, and the company is more profitable because of it.
