MolIDE1.5 released
A new version of MolIDE, now MolIDE1.5, the graphical interface to basic homology modeling with SCWRL,may be obtained at:http://dunbrack.fccc.edu/molide.
MolIDE provides an easy way to identify a homologue of known structure, edit its sequence alignment to the target, and to build side chains and loops for the target sequence. Such a model can then be refined using other programs or used as is, depending on what questions are being asked using the model and other factors such as sequence identity and resolution. The alignment editing feature can be used to improve the PSI-BLAST alignment according to other sources, such as profile-profile alignment servers or from visualization of the structure.
MolIDE is developed by Dr. Roland Dunbrack at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia PA.
