Facing the Energy Challenge Symposium

There are few contemporary challenges facing humankind today more threatening than the unsustainable nature of our current energy infrastructure. Every aspect of present-day society is dependent upon the continuing availability of clean, affordable, and flexible energy resources.

In response to these challenges, the University of Michigan has set forth an Initiative on Energy Science, Technology, and Policy and established the Michigan Memorial Phoenix Energy Institute.

This two day symposium, organized by the Office of the Vie President of Research and the MMPEI, brings together many influential people from government, industry and academia to present their views on science, technology and policy topics in the energy field.
