Scientist
Growing pharmaceutical company in the Boston area is currently seeking an
Analytical Scientist to provide analytical development support for early and
late phase development compounds.
Position responsibilities include:
• develop, validate and transfer to vendors the appropriate
analytical methods to assess the purity, potency and stability of drug
products
• coordinate selected activities of contract laboratories,
including batch release and stability studies and will provide technical
support and trouble shooting for OOS/OOT investigations.
• monitor performance and ensure the quality of data and will
represent Analytical Development in the drug development process involved
with the other departments (Formulation, Regulatory and Quality)
• to assist in summarizing and presenting technical data in support
of various development activities such as formulation and process
optimization as well as specifications setting
• prepare analytical data, reports, and CMC documents required for
regulatory submissions and will work with other staff in Analytical
Development and Pharmaceutical Development to help build an infrastructure
to enable Phase III readiness and GMP compliance capabilities.
Qualified candidates will have a PhD in Chemistry with 0-5 years of
experience performing analytical methods development in the pharmaceutical
industry. Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication
skills and must have the ability to work in a highly matrixed environment.
In addition, individuals must have experience in HPLC, GC, IR, UV,
dissolution, KF and other general laboratory equipment. Preferred candidates
will have prior experience in drug substance and/or dosage form support,
particularly oral solid dosage forms.
