Solid State Chemistry. A postdoc is needed to help support a solid state chemistry program in the synthesis and characterization of new materials. The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. in chemistry or materials science with extensive experience in the various techniques of solid state synthesis including the handling air-sensitive materials; also, an extensive knowledge of crystallography including Rietveld refinement techniques is highly desirable.
Further, the successful candidate is to have good interpersonal skills so as to effectively serve as a mentor to undergraduates and graduate students.
