PhD positions in materials chemistry available
PhD positions will be available in Associate Professor Dan Li’s new stimulati
ng multidisciplinary group at the Department of Materials Engineering, Monash
University in Melbourne, Australia. Monash is one of the Group of Eight leadin
g Australian universities. The recent rankings of universities in the Times Hi
gher Education Supplement in the UK placed Monash among the top 50 universitie
s in the world.
The group’s research focuses on creating new functional nanomaterials for app
lications in energy conversion/storage devices, chemical and biomedical sensin
g, drug delivery, membrane separation, tissue engineering and biomimetics. The
group is part of the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Ele
ctromaterials Science and has established close collaboration with partners in
