The Muscat group at the University of Arizona has a position open for a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate to play a key role in a team studying interface formation between dielectric layers and III-V semiconductors. The postdoc will investigate the mechanisms of surface chemical reactions used to prepare III-V substrates and grow dielectric layers by atomic layer deposition. The requirements for the positions are 1) a PhD in chemistry, physics, engineering, or materials science, 2) extensive experience in x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of surfaces, and 3) expert skill with ultrahigh vacuum technology.
You should be able to work independently and efficiently, and have demonstrated the ability to carry out scientific projects through to completion and produce high-quality publications.
