Postdoctoral Research Assistant with Professor David Clary in Oxford Univ
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research assistant to work under the supervision of Professor David Clary on a new research project for a period of 18 months. We are seeking a chemist or physicist to work on a project concerning theory and computer simulations on the dynamics of the motion of hydrogen atoms in solid surfaces. The aim is to examine suitable candidates of materials for storage of hydrogen in solids. The position is embedded in EU Research Training Network (Hydrogen) under framework 6. In view of the composition of the network, the applicant must not have worked or studied in the UK during the last three years.
The successful candidate must have or shortly expect to have a doctorate in theoretical chemistry, computational chemistry or theoretical physics. Experience in atomic and molecular simulation methods or electronic structure calculations is highly desirable. The posts offers the opportunity to collaborate with experimental and theoretical groups.
