A Post-Doctoral Research position is available in the In-Silico Sciences
group which is focused on molecular modeling and structural biology and
has strong links with other departments in addition to an access to a
broad range of software and hardware resources.
Mission:
The candidate will explore, develop and apply in-silico methods and in
particular various simulation techniques to build homology models of
orphan GPCRs. The research project will be conducted in close
collaboration with the therapeutic department where experimental work
will be carried out.
Profile:
You should have recently obtained your PhD degree in Biomolecular
Simulation, Molecular Modeling, Structural Biology or a related discipline.
A strong background in GPCR or membrane protein modeling as well as
knowledge of protein science are required. Experience in protein
simulation (using programs such as AMBER, CHARMM, and NAMD), algorithm
development and programming (SVL, Python, Perl, C/C++) in a Linux
environment would be a plus.
Good written and oral communication skills, capacity and enthusiasm for
working as part of multi-disciplinary teams are also a requirement for this role.
