化学通讯(Chem. Comm.)审稿报告

化学通讯，Chemical Communications，是英国Royal Society of Chemistry的，2007年的期刊影响因子为5.14。我本人没有在上面发过任何一篇文章，却几乎每月都会为它审一篇稿子。它的总体拒稿率为70%左右。我算审稿人里比较客气的一个，评议拒稿率低于50%。对这家期刊而言，我们中国人的投稿占的比例是很高的。因此，我把它的审稿要求在这公布一下，供中国投稿人参考。 1. ChemComm aims to publish very high quality Communications reporting the most exciting new science - is this Communication in that category? * Yes No 如果审稿人的回答是NO，那这篇稿子基本就没戏了。所以，对此期刊的投稿，摘要引言和结论里，一定要把自己研究独特的重要意义先写明白。 2.How would you rate this paper? * Very significant Significant Routine Poor/Unacceptable 如果是Routine work, 基本上也没戏了。 3. Is the work of sufficient significance to rank amongst the top 10% of papers published in ChemComm? * Yes No 这个就不是那么重要了，我审过的稿子里，只有一篇我的回答是YES。 4. It is the responsibility of authors to provide fully convincing evidence for the homogeneity, purity and identity of all compounds they claim as new. This evidence is required to establish that the properties and constants reported are those of the compound(s) with the new structure(s) claimed. Please assess whether the evidence presented in this manuscript supports the claims of the authors. Is adequate supporting information provided to address the above? * Yes No 老实说，我个人感觉这很难从审稿人的角度判断。我对作者的建议，就是行文要严谨专业，让审稿人相信你的文章。 5. Do the references contain appropriate and balanced citations? * Yes No 这也是审稿人会经常加上自己个人意见的地方，标准很难统一。审过一个纳米大牛的Chem. Comm.的投稿，是Nano Letters编委会的人物，文章写的是无可挑剔，就是文献里没怎么重视别人的工作。所以我唯一的要求就是建议修改文献列表。这也是审稿人推荐自己或朋友的文章的机会。只有做得不太过分，我认为作者应该接受。毕竟审稿人是在义务为你服务。 6. What is your recommendation? * Accept - unchanged Accept - with minor revisions Accept - with major revisions Reconsider - after major revisions Reject 应该说，Accept unchanged的机会是很少的，期刊编辑也不喜欢这样的审稿意见。如果是with minor revisions，作者就应该很高兴了。With major revisions应该还是可以的，如果这样的大改是作者在十天内可以完成的。 最后，还有审稿人更具体的评论意见，那就是人人不同，稿稿不一了。 本文引用地址：http://www.sciencenet.cn/blog/user_content.aspx?id=40345
