Position: Chemical Technologiest-PTA & Downstream product
Location: Zhuhai, Guangdong. Frequent domestic travel, occassional oversea travel
Responsibilities:
• Become a role model for safety both within company and with our PTA customers. Demonstrate best safety practice in the handling and analysis of PTA material and customer products.
• Become a technical expert that the PTA plant and our China polyester terephthalate customers can consult and use to work through and help to resolve their technical issues and problems.
• Provide feedback to the other Customer Support Team members on concerns and issues of the China customers for incorporation into their goal and priority setting.
• Be accountable for delivery of a portfolio of customer support and complaint resolution programs aligned with our China commercial strategy.
Requirements:
•An advanced technical degree (PhD preferred) in chemistry, polymer science, chemical engineering or materials science required.
•A strong academic and commercial background in polyester terephthalate chemistry and production technology is highly desirable.
•A good knowledge of polyester terephthalate downstream processes (e.g., spinning, fiber dyeing, and bottle and film production) is very desirable.
•A good knowledge of analytical techniques and instrumentation relevant to PTA and polyester terephthalate product characterization (e.g., GC, HPLC, ICP, XRF, particle size analysis, color analysis, and polymer characterization methods) is very desirable.
•Fluent in Mandarin and English.
