15th International Zeolite Conference (15th IZC)

The International Zeolite Association (IZA), together with the Chinese Zeolite Association(CZA), extends a cordial invitation to the colleagues in the field of zeolites and related sciences to participate in the 15th International Zeolite Conference (15th IZC), which will be held from August 12 to August 17, 2007 in Beijing, China. The Conference will be preceded by a Pre-school that will update participants on a series of topics relating to zeolites and porous materials science and technology. The pre-conference school will be held in Dalian, one of the most beautiful coastal cities in China. A Post-Conference field trip is scheduled to enable those interested to visit natural zeolite minerals. Additionally, there are also Exhibition and Round Table Discussions during the period of the Conference.

As the capital city of China , Beijing is the cultural and political center of China , full of historical sites, tourist attractions and cultural events throughout the year. At the heart of the city, laid out according to the ancient principles of geomancy, stand the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven . In the northwestern part of the city is located the Summer Palace , which was built in the 18th century and boasts the largest royal garden in the East. A half hour by bus takes you to the Great Wall which was initially built in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period (7th to 8th century B.C.) in order to defend against northern nomads. Located 30 km northeast of the city, the Capital International Airport , which annually handles about 50 million passengers, has direct airlines connecting many cities in the world. Particularly, the 2008 Olympic Games will be held in Beijing (New Beijing, Great Olympics).
