RESEARCH & APPLICATIONS SCIENTIST
The CCDC is an independent organisation that compiles the Cambridge Structural
Database (CSD) and develops software applications in structural chemistry and
molecular modelling. Our products are distributed worldwide to both academic
and industrial customers.
We seek a creative scientist whose principal roles will be to carry out novel
computational-chemistry research that will demonstrate the value of CCDCs life
science products, and to contribute to the scientific testing, documentation,
support and marketing of our product range. You will be expected to represent
the CCDC at major national and international conferences, participate in visits
to customer sites, and make scientific presentations at all levels, so as to
develop strong scientific interactions with our customer base.
The successful candidate will have a strong chemical background and hold a PhD
in chemistry or the life sciences. Experience in molecular modelling or rational
drug design is desirable. The position requires a friendly outgoing team player
with well-developed oral and written communications skills.
Established in 1965, the CCDC now employs 50 staff in a pleasant and lively
