Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate
Our company is currently looking for Research Associates/Senior Research
Associates in medicinal chemistry. The individuals will be part of an
interdisciplinary team of scientists and will be involved in the design,
synthesis, purification, and characterization of novel antibacterial agents.
Essential Functions – Dedicated to the synthesis, purification and
chacterization of organic compounds of therapeutic interest and carries out
structure-activity
relationship studies under the supervision of a senior scientist.
Independently schedules and prioritizes workload to maximize productivity.
Effectively organizes and
presents scientific plans and data. Plans and executes complex experiments
with minimal or no supervision.
Contributes to writing and conceptual framework of publications,
presentations and patents.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minimum of 1-4+ years relevant
laboratory experience: Master’s with minimum 2+ years of relevant lab
experience
The successful candidate should have broad experience in
synthesis, isolation and characterization of organic compounds. He/she is
dedicated to scientific research and highly productive in the lab, capbale
of solving routine synthetic problems with minimum guidance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Good knowledge in synthetic organic
chemistry and strong synthetic skills in handling various types of organic
reactions are required.
This individual must be self-motivated and able to perform multiple tasks at
the same time. Strong presentation and communication skills are necessary.
Proficiency in
PC software and databases is also desired. Experience in parallel synthesis
is a plus.
