Yttrium complex 3, the first example of a group III metal alkyl complex with an ancillary 1,2-azaborolyl ligand, was prepared and characterized; complex 3 initiates methyl methacrylate (MMA) polymerization with living character to afford syndiotactic-rich poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA).

这篇文章报道了第一个类环戊二烯的硼氮杂环阴离子与稀土金属的络合物,并初步测试其聚合性能。众所周知,作为配体,环戊二烯及其衍生物阴离子在金属有机化学中有着广泛的应用,大多数科研工作者对其金属络合物的研究都局限在修饰。然而,有关类环戊二烯阴离子配体的合成及其金属络合物的性质很少得到关注。我们从合成配体出发,进而合成金属络合物以及研究其性能,来研究硼氮杂环阴离子与稀土金属形成络合物的化学。
