Job Title: Scientist

JOB SUMMARY:

Hands-on research and product development of Li-ion batteries. Evaluation o
f electrode and electrolyte chemicals for high power/high energy cells. Con
tribute to manufacturing technology transfer. Work closely with QC, Engineer
ing, and Production teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Identify and evaluate optimum materials and formulations for Li-ion ba
tteries

2. Support manufacturing and quality control groups

3. Oral and written communications to technical and executive teams

4. Occasional travel to suppliers, customers, and production sites

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ph.D. in physical science or engineering, with emphasis on Li-ion mate
rials

2. 0-3 years experience, including post-doc

3. Works well in fast-paced team-oriented culture

4. Takes initiative in defining and achieving goals

5. Excellent communications skills; fluency in Chinese a plus

6. US citizen or permanent resident
